Marketing Coordinator

Wildlife Rescue Association of BC is an environmental non-profit organization with the empowering mission of providing leadership in rehabilitating wildlife and promoting the welfare of wild animals, most of whom are impacted by human activities. We are celebrating our 40th year as the busiest wildlife centre in western Canada. Wildlife Rescue is currently seeking an energetic, highly organized, and multi-talented Marketing Coordinator. This is a primary role responsible for internal and external communications. Working closely with the Communications and Development Team, responsibilities involve developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans, as well as interacting with stakeholders to deliver the organization’s messages to the public and news media.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or equivalent work experience in marketing, public relations, or communications;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in multi-channel marketing, e.g. advertising, promotions, presentations, events, etc.;
  • Proven background in developing successful data-driven marketing plans and projects;
  • Strong research and data analysis skills to guide marketing decisions and metrics;
  • Experience with the development and management of corporate and product branding;
  • Exceptional writing and multi-channel communication skills in all facets of the work environment;
  • Ability to take products from concept to completion, e.g. newsletter, calendar, brochures, and promotional videos
  • A thorough understanding and experience of using digital media analytics;
  • Proven background and experience in layout, design and publishing software, e.g. In Design;
  • Superb project organization and management skills;
  • Resource coordination and event planning skills;
  • Experience with cultivating and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders (journalists, companies, donors, etc.);
  • Experience working in the non-profit sector;
  • Confidence, self-awareness and a values-driven approach.
