Jodi is an experienced marketing communications professional, business strategist and branding specialist, with an MBA. Currently the Director of Marketing & Communications for Coast Hotels Ltd., Jodi takes pride in developing marketing programs that deliver results.
Jodi’s background includes leadership roles at Grouse Mountain Resort and Tourism Whistler. Jodi is known for the innovation and creativity she brings to business challenges. Jodi and her husband Peter are outdoor enthusiasts who have a deep appreciation for wild spaces. During their downtime, you can find them paddling their canoe, hiking, biking, skiing, or exploring with their two dogs.
Dr. Anson Wong is a sustainability and philanthropy professional with extensive experience and knowledge in environmental and social risk management, wildlife conservation, non-profit management, and social impact. He is a seasoned social profit professional both in North America and Asia.
Throughout his career he worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, The Nature Conservancy, Conservation International, OneSky for all children Foundation, and The Fred Hollows Foundation. He is a volunteer and board member of various NPOs in Asia and Canada. He is passionate about the well-fare and conservation of wildlife, which is an integral part of the larger eco-system.
Ken Cen, a project manager based in Vancouver, has brought a wealth of experience in accounting, human resources, and project management to the WRA Board since his appointment in 2023.
Although Ken’s background is primarily in business, he now focuses his work on digital services, system implementations, data analytics, and IT strategic planning. Alongside this, he has co-founded tech start-ups and successfully managed large teams, showcasing his expertise in both project management and business operations.
With a degree in accounting and certifications including PMP, CPHR, CPA, ICP, and Lean Six Sigma belts, Ken is well-prepared to contribute to WRA’s growth and provision of essential wildlife services.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ken enjoys volunteering, exploring new musical instruments, hiking, and experimenting with new recipes.
Aaron is an experienced professional in municipal and provincial regulatory compliance and enforcement, currently serving as the Manager for Bylaw Enforcement, Business Licensing & Animal Services at the City of Coquitlam. With over a decade of experience, he excels in strategic project management, operational leadership, and community service.
Aaron has held key roles, including Superintendent at the City of New Westminster and roles with the Provincial Health Services Authority, Ministry of Children and Family Development and BC Coroners Service. He also teaches Bylaw Compliance and Enforcement at the Justice Institute of BC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Simon Fraser University and multiple certificates in leadership, conflict resolution and investigative skills.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding and camping. His dedication to community service and passion for positive impact are evident in both his professional and personal life.
Corinne’s work – life experience has evolved as a mosaic of skill sets including non-profit association governance and management, expertise in recycling and waste management, business improvement area management, enterprise facilitation, and entrepreneurship.
Corinne is passionate about commitment to the community, currently applying her skills as a committee member of the City of Delta Board of Variance and as the North Delta Representative for the Port of Vancouver/ Vancouver Fraser Port Authority Port Community Liaison Committee.
Some of her past committee participation includes being a management board member of the National Zero Waste Committee, Director and President of the BC Chapter of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, BIA President and Executive Director, BIA-BC Startup and Outreach Coordinator and Founding Director / Visioning Team member of the Raymond Burr Performing Arts Society.
Corinne’s contributions have been recognised with awards including CSAE-BC Leadership Award, COBE Award for Business Person of the Year, and a “BIABC Award for Best Economic and Business Development Project.
Corinne’s spare time is devoted to her family, promoting environmental stewardship, and finding ways to upcycle almost anything.
Glenn has many years of international experience as a director and senior manager in non-profit and corporate sectors. He served as Executive Director of WRA from 2008-2014 and continues to be a lifetime member and steadfast supporter of WRA’s work.
Glenn has degrees in Marine & Freshwater Biology (BSc), Environmental Technology (MSc), and Zoology (Ph.D.), and has previously worked as a professional wildlife biologist and rehabilitator.
His varied personal interests include environmental conservation, performance arts, and sports coaching, and he has been an active community volunteer since moving to Burnaby with his family in 2007.
